Imitations
Imitations
True creative energy within a bubble is a myth. We obtain much of our ideas from using the foundations of the previous generations of writers whether we like it or not. So much of that "grand mystical" motivation to write comes from data collected.
Imitating for answers to questions or imitating to try something new is an incredible way to find a voice and to learn about the art of writing.
Mephistopheles
Mephistopheles
Numerous accounts of devil worshipping pop culture icons fill the headlines of online tabloids. Only a few exposes themselves as actual devil worshippers but all accounts fall under two common myths of the struggling artists selling their souls. These two myths include the infamous crossroads where the Devil waits to promise fame for ownership of one’s soul for eternity or the myth of Mephistopheles, a demon working for the devil, who appears and offers promises with the demon’s flare. Kanye West announced he sold his soul in October of 2002, but he is not alone. The list of artists who have either stopped at the crossroads or spoken to Mephistopheles include Lil Wayne and Lady Gaga. A recent addition to the list is the classic Bob Dylan who admitted to selling his soul a few days ago.

Meet Me on the Esplanade
Every year the week before Labor Day thousands of Burners travel through Reno to attend Burning Man. Burning Man is a gathering to experiment with collective living, survival camping, and art in an area called Black Rock City.
Black Rock City is one of the largest cities in Nevada for the week that is built. An amazing achievement to witness.
Larry Harvey created the experience in the Bay Area and moved to The Black Rock Desert a few years after the festival began in the 1980's.o
